Decisions, Decisions

I have decided that I am going to Urbanbella to check out their services. I will go within the next month. I will get both a product and hair consult. I really want to do something funky with color. I have absolutely no idea what! The drama, lol. I may try to go this weekend they are having a $10 consult fee which is a great deal since the normal price is $50. I still have not taken my twists out. I have not gone anywhere since I have washed my hair. I know that sounds awful, but I have had so much to do lately I simply have not had the time. I know it sounds crazy. I will have to start looking at styles so you can give me some suggestions of what I should try. Keep in mind, I want color and it will be custom color. When went to Taliah Wajiid's shop the used box color and I was disappointed. I have done away with my fall color w/another box color but I want a pretty spring/summer color.

Hair is on my Mind

I did not untwist my hair today because I did not go to my appointment as planned. I go tomorrow instead. I will be posting pics then. I am really trying to figure out what it will look like but time will tell soon enough. My body doesn't like me today or I didn't treat it right, so I really do not have much to to say. I will be back tomorrow with more, but I promised consistentency and I will do just that, be consistent.

Hair Woes

I am having serious hair woes today. I really wanted to do some informative blogging today but I need motivation and inspiration today. I really have to wash this mess out of my hair. I am just trying to decide what line of products I am going to use. I think I am going to pull out Taliah Wajiid and do the entire line, including the preshampoo. I really need to take all of this product out of my hair. Okay, so here is the game plan: Shampoo/Conditioner, leave-in, moisturize with jojoba oil and coat with shea butter and twist w/Taliah Wajiid's gel. I am not going to do small twists, too lazy! lol.....So, if you are wondering what I will be doing tonight during Dancing with the Stars, I will be twisting my hair. What did you do w/your hair today?

Looking For Something New and Fun

While in Louisiana, I went to one of my old stylists. I love her dearly. I chose her because she still does hair "old school". I figured getting my hair rodded would be the easiest route to go and since she still has clients who have Jheri Curls who best to go to do that. I brought my Taliah Wahjiid shampoo and conditioner so I could still "know" how my hair would react. Well, she did use my products but she felt the need to use "her" conditioner which felt good because it seemed to have tea tree oil in it. I thought nothing of it because I sometimes use tea tree oil, on top of that, she put some concoction in my hair and used a heated cap....hot oil treatment I suppose. When I took my rods out, my hair did not react the way I was accustomed to reacting when rodded which totally changed my game plan of how to style my hair for the wedding. She even oiled my scalp. Anyway, long story short, my hair feels dry and brittle and it was only a week Friday. I will to baby my mane to get it back to normal. However, I won't to do some fun things with my hair this summer. I do not have any idea what I want to do. I want to get highlights, I think. What I want most is for my hair to have more curl pattern in the front. I plan to play with more hair adornments and just playing with styles. I guess I will be on You Tube a lot. I cannot wait to see a new stylist for ideas. Please give me some style ideas that are fun for the summer! I really want to have many options this summer!

Waiting to Style

I actually got my mom to wash my hair for me last night because I am limited w/my shoulder. I had her wash first with the Tahlia Wajiid Cleansing shampoo which pretty much strips your hair of all the the product build up. I followed up with the Tahlia Wajiid's Moiturizing shampoo. I did do a mix of product lines this time which I don't do all of the time. I used Carol's Daughter Hair Smoothie Conditioner. Unforunately, I couldn't twist my hair as I usually do. I used Carol's daughter Hair Milk to just feed my hair more moisture. I then used a Motions Leave in conditioner to keep my hair healthy. To twist my hair I used Carols daughter Hair Butter along with Olive Oil Mousse. I when my hair hair was drying out, I used my favorite home made daily moisturizer, I use water with jojoba oil and lavendar. I don't know if I every mentioned that the water is the best moisterizer because molicules or small and can asorb easily, in the summer I use it every morning. I haven't taken twists out today. I will do it tomorrow it tomorrow when I go out I will take before and after pics. I am hoping nice coils, fingers crossed.

So, tell me what you have done lately.

Ready, Set, Go

It is time to be enthusiastic about our hair that God has given us. I do not have a problem with changing up sometimes but God has given us a Crown of Glory! I am looking forward to what this year will bring to me, life which certainly my hair. My plan to track growth is to wash and do an afro blow out, I think that is the easiet way for us to stay on top of "charting"

I am a traditional twistout girl be it large for texture of small for curls. I have rodded my hair and loved it. I am all about expanding my horizon of different styles. I encourage all to do so. I am considering a sew-in just for the change but not feeling the wig thing.

Back to charting I think once a month would be fine. Right now I am most interested in looking at the styles we can achieve. The truth of the matter is that I cannot chart until my shoulder heals more. I work hard on trying to do my own hair with this shoulder thing. I think I am going to a stylist since I cannot do my hair myself. I think I am going to by myself one of those doll heads to teach Sydney how to help me and for me to experience. I have to see if there is one with my texture hair....most likely. but I can try.

So tell me what are you on the hunt for or what are your style dreams right now. Post it! The image above is where I wanted to get don't know how for from that but I do want to try it. Okay I cannot find the original one but I will show you something I like. I think this will be cute for Lindsey's wedding.
