Looking For Something New and Fun
While in Louisiana, I went to one of my old stylists. I love her dearly. I chose her because she still does hair "old school". I figured getting my hair rodded would be the easiest route to go and since she still has clients who have Jheri Curls who best to go to do that. I brought my Taliah Wahjiid shampoo and conditioner so I could still "know" how my hair would react. Well, she did use my products but she felt the need to use "her" conditioner which felt good because it seemed to have tea tree oil in it. I thought nothing of it because I sometimes use tea tree oil, on top of that, she put some concoction in my hair and used a heated cap....hot oil treatment I suppose. When I took my rods out, my hair did not react the way I was accustomed to reacting when rodded which totally changed my game plan of how to style my hair for the wedding. She even oiled my scalp. Anyway, long story short, my hair feels dry and brittle and it was only a week Friday. I will to baby my mane to get it back to normal. However, I won't to do some fun things with my hair this summer. I do not have any idea what I want to do. I want to get highlights, I think. What I want most is for my hair to have more curl pattern in the front. I plan to play with more hair adornments and just playing with styles. I guess I will be on You Tube a lot. I cannot wait to see a new stylist for ideas. Please give me some style ideas that are fun for the summer! I really want to have many options this summer!

Shawn,
ReplyDeleteIt is a natural stylist in LAfayette, that is on my facebook and she turns our pretty styles! You have to learn a stylist that do not deal with natural hair is like you wanting a hamburger and getting the bun only. You see what I'm saying? Girl if I would have known :(
I knew that, but my real mistake was demanding she only use my products. I was basically only asking for a wash and set. Valerie, I don't know if you remember her, does hair and she at times wears her natural, I should have let her do my hair. You live and learn. I should have listened to Charlene and done my hair myself. I had time, but I was lazy. Shoulda, woulda, coulda...shame on Shawn, lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL, listen to yourself next time! You live and learn!
ReplyDeleteYou are beyond right! I would have much preferred a tight twistout! It is okay though. My next major event, you best believe my hair will be on point!
ReplyDeleteJake's graduation party!
ReplyDeleteYes, we will both have to have our do's looking hot! I am not sure what I am doing for his graduation. The days are running into one another!
ReplyDeleteHmm, what must I blog about today?
Ditto for me I am lost on a hair style **sigh**
